Refused have almost defined a new sound by taking in heaps of influences, blending them together and blowing you, the listener, clean away. Taking much from the likes of Fugazi, and adding a sense of total hardcore crunch, results in what Refused offer. Dynamics is the key word here. Although entitled "The Shape of Punk to come" it still belongs in the metal area due to the blend it offers. This Swedish band broke up on the release of this album but watch for anything that they touch.
