Today Is The Day is more about percussion and rhythm than any other aspect of music. They come in sounding all crazy and demented and then from nowhere comes this chugging rhythm section and crazy percussion. Maybe not the logical place for a band like this, Relapse (grindcore and death metal specialists) has been home for them since 1997 and it seems as though they are being treated just fine. This album is a testament to their creativity on stage. 15 tracks chosen including some unexpected covers such as Bad Company's "Feel LIke Makin' Love" (one of my favorites on here), Chris Issak's "Wicked Game" and the Beatles "Why don't we do it in the road?". Today can be extremely vicious but in the next moment they are soft as kitty's. Careful though 'cuz this kitty bites hard. Find out why this great band has been around for almost a decade.
