Pete Yorn - musicforthemorningafter
Pete Yorn has created the contemporary adult rock album for years to come. People will be referring to musicforthemorningafter for many years after the fact, even if Pete never realizes stardom because of it. Its one of those albums that you don't really understand after only one listen but by the third or fourth time the charm becomes readily apparent. You may recognize his voice from the Jim Carrey flick, Me, Myself and Irene, in which "Strange Condition"? is heard. You may have also heard him on the ultra-cheesey Dawson's Creek. Forget all the stereotypes that come along with these cameo song appearances because Pete is way more than a few one hit wonders. Pete Yorn is completely American when it comes to his songwriting styles but you will be able to feel his love for Brit-pop. He injects the poppy side of things without drawing away from his heartfelt tracks. Not only is Yorn a brilliant songwriter, he is also a very versed multi-instrumentalist as Pete plays most of the instruments on here. He can also add a bit of twang to a few of his songs without seeming like a wannabe. Don't be left in the dust. Pick up Pete Yorn immediately.
