This series started back in 1997 and the whole concept was that bands that were from all over the place would contribute an exclusive track for a series of split 12" EP's. There would only be 1000 of each ep pressed and they sold out immediately. The tracks here had never made it ot compact disc before this and the folks at Temporary Residence thought it was time. So now we get revel in 15 juicy tracks from some of todays hottest underground acts. According to the insert only 3 of the tracks have ended up being released elsewhere so think of this as a bit of an exclusive thing. Most of the artists really put their hearts into this like Fuck's beautiful instrumental "Gone", Songs:Ohia's achingly somber "For The Neighbors of our Age", and Will Oldham and Dave Pajo's collaboration, Continental OP which is very space like. Overall this is a great compilation by some great underground bands that anyone is sure to enjoy.
