RecommendAnother very interesting Holiday compilation from My Pal God. The first edition came out in 1998 and they have creatively entitled this one "2". Who wants to think when it comes to Holiday's. I'm really not one for Christmas albums but this one stands up and demands attention. All 13 tracks are creative and very original; be it original winter/holiday songs or takes on old traditionals. Examples of the latter include Drums and Tuba's very creative "Auld Lange Syne" and Neutrino's "Island of Misfit Toys / Little Drummer Boy" medley. As for originals, look no further than the opening track by Emperor Penguin, "Erotic Xmas (home for the holograms)" and Rebecca Gates (Spinanes) beautiful "12.31". Never too crazy, this compilation keeps a festive feel for the most part. Be rest assured that you'll find this one in my random cd shuffle on Christmas holiday's along with Andy Williams.
