It?s been way too long since I have checked in with the Pet Shop Boys. While the boys have made a jump from Top 40 to the rave and circuit scene over the past decade, their popularity really hasn?t diminished at all. You may remember back in 1986 (if you have a good memory) the first Disco album hit the market. It was a remix project of their ever-popular album Please. 1994 saw the release of Disco 2, which was a reworking of Very. Disco 3 is more or less a reworking of last year?s Release but this time around the duo has included several unreleased tracks on the album. Disco 3 leaves room for old-school pop leanings, electro-clash tracks (?Time One My Hands?), their newly refined dance culture tracks and then the album wraps up with an amazing piano ballad of ?London?, a track to show that Neil Tennant still has the ability to write amazing music. While it will most likely be hardcore Pet Shop Boys fans that will pick up Disco 3, it is an album that could hold its own against the top 40 crowds if it were given half a chance.
