One of America's favorite DJ's, Donald Glaude recently made a trip over to England to perform at a packed house called The Gallery in London. Mixed Live: 2nd Session is the result. This is a double disc with Disc Two being a bonus DVD video complete with an interview with Donald. The first disc, though, is over an hour of the set of music that Glaude played for the crowd all night. My favorite track of the set is Afrika Bambaataa's "Funky Heroes (Santos Pandemonio Remix)". It's one of the most pounding tracks on the set. The next track, Antoine Clamaran's "My Old Piano" proves to be just as upbeat with Glaude's heavy drum track going and the piano sample in the back. The mix is done very well and includes quite a few yells and screams from the riotous crowd. I'm sure that this would have been a set to see. The DVD was a little disappointing. I thought I was going to actually watch the set happen but instead, it's just a 5.1 surround audio track of the same playlist that was on the CD. For audiophiles only.
