Vue - Babies Are For Petting EP
Well, someone noticed San Francisco's Vue. They made the move from Sub Pop to RCA (also new home to Cave In) recently and Babies Are For Petting is their next contribution to their whiskey soaked rock sound. Not a lot has changed for Vue with the move to the majors and if this little EP is any sign of what's up their sleeve they may see a bit more publicity. It's Rex Shelverton's vocals that make the band (the musicians are damn fine too) with his smokey, sexy voice not unlike Make Up. I would imagine that their live show would just ooze sexuality and would go nice with a single malt scotch. The lead off track, "Look Out For Traffic" almost has a Strokes sort of swagger to it. It is the best track on the album too followed closely by the title track. I'm sure this EP is more than affordable so check it out before their full-length hits the shelves.
