The Rubber City Rebels are back! The Rubber who? If you are like me you may have missed the band first time around back in the late 70's, early 80's. Well, if these cats can get back together and put out a half decent album why couldn't the Dead Boys go on tour again? Let's not hold our breath. Pierce My Brain starts out with the title track and it also sets the pace for the rest of the album. Then in true Ramones fashion, they rip out a track called "I Don't Wanna Be A Punk No More". Old school punk at it's finest. It would be fun to see these guys perform at a place the the CBGBs in New York. While a band like Rubber City Rebels sounds dated in this day and age, there is still some fun energy left and they still seem to be as into the punk ethos as ever. If you miss the old days of the anarchist style punk, venture out and get Pierce My Brain. Rubber city Rebels will be right up your alley.
