Demon Hunter is a new band in the metal arena. Demon Hunter is dynamic in their metal presentation and remind me not only of heavy bands like Slipknot but also Nordic metal like Opeth. The guys don't have any problem being so damn heavy and then singing like real musicians on tracks like "Infected" or "Turn Your Back And Run", one of the coolest tracks on the album. I always have a hard time when you find out a band has Christian roots but I say that if they can rock this hard, who cares. Demon Hunter kicks some ass and bursts a few blood vessels along the way. Demon Hunter has provided us with one of the thickest sounding an best produced metal albums so far this year. They are a bit of a mystery, not wanting to reveal their individual identities but if you go by the photo on the back of the package, they are a five-piece band. A band that is capable of injecting melodic riffs and vocals into some of the most blistering metal this side of Slipknot. I think this is a band that you should keep an eye on. Check it out if you are into the aggressive side of metal.

I remember this album. I thought I liked it for awhile, but you know how some albums grow on you? There are those that do the opposite, and hit you nicely at first and then slowly start losing their appeal. Heard a couple of songs since and they've all been pretty average.
