This Nashville based rock band is made up of three brothers, Caleb, Nathan, and Jared Followill along with a cousin Matthew Followill. The Kings of Leon brothers were raised by a United Pentecostal evangelist so they pretty much grew up on the road, traveling with their father from town to town. Seems like a very unlikely formula to create a rock and roll band but here they come ready to travel with their Holy word. Holy Roller Novocaine has a southern feel to it in the way that the Allman Brothers do but the boys also manage to keep an indie rock ethic as well. There is a bit of the Black Crowes here but not quite as polished. They have a trick card up their sleeve in the form of the amazing "California Waiting". It's a road song that rivals so many of the best ones out there. We'll see what their full-length has to add to the mix, due out later this year. These five songs are only a teaser to something that may be bigger and better under the hood.
