Sue Foley - Where The Action Is
Sue Foley is back with another amazing blues effort. If you have never heard Sue and enjoy female blues singers such as Susan Tedeschi then you are totally missing out. If you have been following her then you might be surprised to find out that Wher The Action Is is her third full-length album. She may be getting older but she still knows how to rock with the best of them and Action is one of her most rocking affairs yet. While most of the tracks here are penned by Foley, there are some well chosen covers like Etta James’ “Roll With Me Henry where Sue gives Etta a run for her money. She also takes a well intended effort to the Stones’ “Stupid Girl. Her longtime friend, Colin Linden is playing guitar on a number of tracks as well as taking proding credits. Ken Coomer, formerly of Wilco, is heard playing drums on four tracks. Where The Action Is is a great blues album that should be in everyone’s collection.
