Ambulance Ltd. is a brand new band from all over the world, Oregon, Belfast, L.A. They play an interesting form of pop / rock music that sounds vaguely familiar and yet very original. They take in a Velvet Underground style of late 60s psychedelia and mix it with an 80s style of pop. The songs end up very interesting and Marcus Congelton proves himself as a worthy songwriter. They chose to use Jim Abbiss (DJ Shadow, South, Sneaker Pimps) for production purposes and it really proves to be the right choice. The music pops and it comes right at you through the speakers. Out of the five songs on this EP there isn't one that should have been left off. It is very strong for a new band. I think that Ambulance Ltd. will have a great future once people slowly discover their charm. I am looking forward to their full-length album that is due out later this year.
