I decided to give Adam Dorn (aka Mocean Worker) a second chance. Even with all the hype surrounding his debut album I could not seem to get into it. This one, on the other hand, is a different story. His goal on Aural & Hearty was to make a more accessible album and that is exactly what he has done here. He attains the accessibility by incorporating pop sounds with house, breakbeat and trance elements and beefs it up with his inventive samples. The album kicks in with a Fat Boy Slim style songs entitled "Hey Baby" complete with a female Na Na Na back up. I think this is one of the coolest tracks on the album. The next track is "Air Suspension", a hard driving big beat track. A couple of the songs incorporate a totally electro groove not unlike what Daft Punk would do in the same situation. It's good to see someone of Adam's caliber branch out and try different genres. That's what it's all about; diversity.
