Anatomy Of A Ghost is a new hardcore/emo band that is taking the world by storm. Evanesce is the band's debut album and they have the backing of a fine label, Fearless. The band has really only been together since 2002 and have already acquired a big following, not only in their hometown of Portland, OR but across the continent. The key to this band is the vocals of John who remind me a bit of Saves the Day but there is the screaming backing of Dewey and Zach that add to the effect. Think of Thrice or Thursday for an idea of what this is all about. The album is very strong and the songs are well written. The band sounds mature already, for only being their first album. Sure, the guys have been in other bands but sometimes it does take a while to gel as a band. As this has come natural, Anatomy Of A Ghost have already secured spots on the Warped Tour, gaining even more fans. The two guitar thing works great for Anatomy as well, allowing guitars to chug along or play the melody easily. While other bands like Thursday and Thrice are getting all the credit and spotlight for this type of music, there is always room for a couple more bands like this. A couple more, that's it.
