How can you not listen to an album called Camarosmith with a total rip off of a Black Sabbath album cover? Camarosmith started with jokes about mullets and driving Z28s. What better way to evoke this image than a play on Aerosmith and Camaros? A couple of the guys come from the Zeke alumni and are out to put the past behind them with this new hard rock band. They plant their influences front and foremost with aggressive 70s music being their main point of reference. There are songs like "Time Around" that get super heavy with a gruff vocal that wouldn't have survived back in the 70s but it is 2003 and these people have lived through so much more. The band chose to use Jack Endino for production duties and that proved to be the right choice. The sound is thick as mud, which works wonders for a band this heavy. There is plenty of testosterone to go around with Camarosmith. This band would be a great one to see live but don't forget your earplugs, otherwise your ears will ring for days. This is a genuine hard rock band that has no tricks up its sleeve. Give Camarosmith a chance on your next trip. Rock on, dude!
