Scene 18: Meggie and Jack are in the car (yeah, of the White Stripes, let's have fun with this) and the rain is gentle coming down. The wipers are clearing the rain from the windshield efficiently. Meggie has just fallen asleep listening to Kevin Quain's "Devil Song" on AM radio and Jack himself is having trouble staying awake. Jack lights a cigarette and cracks the window in their 68 coupe to let the smoke stream out. Just enough so that he doesn't get soaked from the rain. He starts dreaming about old flames when Katrina and the Waves' outtake from their 1983 debut album, "That's Just The Woman In Me" comes on the radio. It's a bluesy track, not really signature for that 80's pop band more famous for their "Walking On Sunshine". When Ralph Alfonso comes on the radio with his "Early Morning Cold Taxi" Jack can't help but feel that Ralph is talking right to him. The radio DJ announces Paul Hyde's "When Love Dies" and you start thinking back to the Payolas. Then out of nowhere comes the spookiest but most enthralling song you have ever heard. Jackson Phibes of Forbidden Dimension plays an instrumental track called "A Dead One Hangs In The Web" and you feel all of a sudden that you are in the movie Lost Highway.
Fade to black.
