It strange to think back to where Tim Furnish came from. His background is steeped with relationships to bands that pretty much created math-rock/post-rock. He lives in Louisville, Kentucky and has had his hand sin Crain, Cerebellum, and Aerial M as well as helping out with many other bands in the area. Now with the release of his sophomore solo album as Parlour, Tim is moving more into the electronica side of things even more than he did with Octopus Off-Broadway. Tim's music is some of the deepest electronic based music I have ever heard. Googler paves the way for other similar bands to come in and copy. The album opens with the brilliant "Jololinine", over five minutes of glorious and interesting rhythms and melodies. "Distractor" picks up a little faster right after the lead track and gets your blood pumping a little before it drops down for a cool little break in the middle. There are only 6 songs on Googler but the running time is over 40 minutes, giving you loads of time to soak up what Parlour does best. It must be said that Googler was released only a mere 6 months after Parlour's debut. I think Tim is having a creative rush and I wouldn't be surprised if we see even more from Parlour within the year.
