Peace Orchestra is Peter Kruder from the amazing duo of Kruder & Dormeister. One of his first outings on his own Peace Orchestra stands out as a wicked downtempo collection. While Kruder & Dorfmeister are known mostly for their DJ and remix skills they don't end up doing much of their own original music. Obviously Peter needed to get that out of his system and came up with Peace Orchestra. He fits in somewhere in between drum 'n bass and atmospheric electronica. It is airy and yet it is still held together with solid beats and rhythms. Verging on acid-jazz but still keeping a loungy feel to it and it never gets too mellow. Definitely a great chill-out album. And the packaging is brilliant. The band aid is on the outside of the jewel box and it's covering a big red cut on the sleeve.
