Photek (a.k.a. Rupert Parkes) has decided to take a trip into the world of garage house and downtempo trip-hop instead of his usual drum n bass antics that we're used to. He doesn't leave the DnB alone though as proven in the track "Infinity" although he seems to be a little more comfortable blending in all the different genres. A couple tracks feature legendary house singer, Robert Owens, both "Mine to Give" and "Can't Come Down". On these two tracks, especially "Mine To Give" they border on house with a trance feeling around the edges. Don't rule out Photek's creativity quite yet. His experimentations here show that he is most comfortable dabbling in many electronica forms and that he is willing to try anything. Although Photek is trying new things, the one thing that remains is is minimalist aproach, proving that it works ever while expanding the ground he covers.
