I'm kind of a sucker for Christmas music. I tend to like the old classics like Andy Williams and Neil Diamond but sometimes these reworkings turn out pretty decent too. Kriztal had quite a bit of success with last years Christmas Chillout but this year they are in heavy company with Six Degrees' Christmas Remixed. That's one of the highlights for this Christmas season. Reindeer Room Volume II is up there as well, though. You get many classics completely redone. They aren't just reworked like Christmas Remixed. These one's are pretty much original compositions out of classic Christmas songs like "Good King Wenceslas", "We Three Kings", and "O Christmas Tree". A lot of the songs on this compilation end up being instrumental but it is actually the vocal tracks like "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by Billy Paul Williams and Nicole Henry. They actually have three tracks that feature that combination. One of the better tracks is called "Hard Candy Christmas" by Myntee. There are some more obscure tracks on this album but overall, this album works pretty decent as background music for a Christmas cocktail party. To top it off, you also get a DVD you can throw it in and watch a yule log fire while listening to the music in 5.1 Surround.
