It wasn't that long ago that I was chilling to Feenom Circle's debut album, Souled Separately but I like what I hear happening on The Pawn Shop EP. I'm sure that this is the case of the music on Souled Separately being old and stale by the time that they actually got it out. And the music on the Pawn Shop sounds totally fresh, unlike what you may find at the pawn shop. If this EP was a pawn shop item, it would be that rare item that you didn't know you needed. That shiny jewel in a world of junk. And if you have ever been in a used record store, you know how real that is. You can spend hours digging through crates without coming up with anything. Then you come across something like this little EP and you listen to it intently finding the charm within. There is something about this San Francisco area hip hop group that sets them above many of the other bands. They are ready for prime time. "Frisco Disco" just couldn't get enough spins on my stereo.
