The Mr. T Experience (or MTX as they are preferring to be called nowadays) have recorded a very interesting album that defies everything that people have come to expect. The album opens with "She's Not The Flower" (the first single too) is classic MTX but as soon as they get into "Fucked Up On Life" you start to question the direction that Doctor Frank is taking the band. It's a mellow ballad that sound like it could be a cover of a 60s song. Then moving along to "Oh, Just Have Some Faith In Me" MTX starts out the song like a BTO rock out. It has a classic and timeless feel to it. Not enough for you? Try on "Big Strange Beautiful Hammer" that sounds vaguely like Kiss' "Beth". "London" is a bit of a snoozer but I found myself totally into the new MTX. There are enough elements to remind you of where this band has came from. Note, this is Mr. T Experience's tenth full-length album, a fact that I find amazing.
