This album landed in my stack with little fanfare. A Problem of Alarming Dimensions (a bit of a clunky band name) is a mainly instrumental band from Arkansas. The first time I caught any vocals was the track called "Non-Deterministic Finite Automaton", track 4. While the album has some Mogwai and maybe even Explosions In The Sky similarities, they do have a very interesting sound. It's much brighter than those bands I mentioned. A track like "Be Kind. Rewind." is very upbeat and forward thinking where a band like Explosions would turn it into something slow and dark. The post-rock thing has been done but I think anyone that has ever been interested in the genre would benefit in checking out the H - Hov - Hover album.
