Hmm, ever done a search on Google for Spreadeagle? Scary resuls, kids, don't try this at home. My online research for this Mission, BC band pretty much ended there. I'm assuming that the band got it's name from the old Black Diamond song of the same name. It is an apt name for this old school metal band that leaves nothing sacred. As you can see by the cover, the tightly bikini clad tattoo girl on the cover has posters of classic band like Motley Crue, Kiss, and Twisted Sister, all bands that SpreadEagle take some cues from. More recently bands such as the Dwarves and Nashville Pussy are along the same lines. The band has no problem moving Mach 3 through a track like "8 Ball". Cruising music that screams to be turned up to 11 is this entire album. The BC quintet use pseudonyms like Juan Badmutha (vocals), Mattias Stabbz (guitar), Oke-Leigh Blades (drums), my favorite Donny James Rio (guitar) and 8 Ball (bass). This kind of gives you an idea of what to expect. They remind a lot of Calgary regulars Cripple Creek Fairies. With track names like "Roadwarrior", "Blood, Coke, and Sodomy", and "Full Time Loser" you get an idea of where SpreadEagle are coming from. I'm assuming that their live show would be one mutherfucker!
