Simon Fisher Turner was apparently quite an established actor in the 1970's although I can't recall the name. He was also a founding member in the seminal The The. Lately he has been doing soundtrack work for many avant films. Now he has undertaken an extravagant journey with Robin Rimbaud, aka Scanner touring into the dark depths of rythmic noisescapes. SFT has chosen the name Travelcard because you can get travelcards in almost any city so it's quite universal. With this recording you get a sense of his cinematic work and how he has progressed over the years. This proves to be a very dark yet very appealing release. Another interesting collaboration for Sulfur records.
