I think Blueprint must have an identity issue. I think he states his name at the beginning of more than one track. Keep saying your alias and people will eventually start calling you that instead of your real name. Anyway, Soul Position is his hip-hop project and it's totally impressive. His partner in crime, RJD2 has already made quite a name for himself with his already classic Deadringer album. Together they make some pretty fun hip hop music. Rjd2 provides the smooth and different beats and Blueprint provides some very smooth lyrics. It's strange though, I feel as though there is a little something missing. A track like "Just Think" is good but nothing outstanding. Oh, there are some pretty hard hitting tracks here like "Look Of Pain" that is totally cranial. Blueprint isn't one of those hip hop artists that rap a mile a minute. Instead he opts for the storytelling style. For instance I get a little Fresh Prince vibe from the track "The Jerry Springer Episode". It's an epic story track that seems like it goes for ever (5+ minutes). It's actually an entertaining story. Overall 8 Million Stories is an impressive album but I think it could have used a little more editing before release. Maybe a track or two left off.
