It's unfortunate that the Goodie Mob didn't quite see the success that their fellow Atlanta hip hop act Outkast has seen. It's not that they weren't as talented. Well, we can only hope that Cee-Lo's new album reaches half as many people as the latest Outkast effort. Cee-Lo has left the folds now and the rest of the Mob are trying to carry on without him. Dirty South Classics culminates some of their best tracks from their three full-length albums. While Soul Food was one of their best albums, there were still some relevant tracks on their other releases. One of the coolest tracks on here features TLC. It's a smooth rap track called "What It Ain't (Ghetto Enuff)". 15 tracks in total and two of them featuring Big Boi of Outkast fame and one with both of the Outkast boys featured ("Black Ice"). When Cee-Lo takes the mic though, it's the best. Cee-Lo has so much charisma that he demands attention. Goodie Mob may never be the powerhouse that it was back in the 90s but Dirty South Classics proves that they were a big influence in what is going on today in the hip hop world.
