The Stanton Warriors are a two step / Breakbeat duo from Britain that are bound to take the world by storm with their new mix CD, The Stanton Session. There is loads of original material on here (4 tracks) and they include mixes of Basement Jaxx, Mr. Reds w/ DJ Skribble, Plump DJ’s and many others. The duo has a hard time sticking to any one sound for too long and this is really not a bad thing. As the Warriors jump from two-step to Garage to breakbeat to house they wash away any preconceived notions about any of the genres. They are basically rewriting the book on music that gets the body moving. I was listening to The Stanton Session on my headphones at work and I couldn’t sit still at all. This album really isn’t meant for headphones. You have to crank it over a huge system in order for the masses to hear it. This mix should put The Stanton Warriors in the forefront of the UK Garage scene. This contains the much sought after remix of Basement Jaxx “Jump n Shout�.
