New York based Elizabeth Sharp is about to embark on her state-side journey as Ill Ease. She released a UK only album called Greatest Tits but The Exorcist marks her first North American release on the British label Too Pure. You may remember Sharp from the group New Radiant Storm King (I don't). She was their drummer. Elizabeth proves herself as a multi-instrumentalist on this album, playing everything except for a couple guitar lines from producer Dave Barbe (yup, the guy from Sugar). The Exorcist proved to be a difficult listen at first. Ill Ease creates just that. Sharp's vocals are little irritating but I found myself growing into them some after a few listens (I am a patient reviewer). If Peaches weren't so crude, she might sound like Ill Ease. The music isn't the most brilliant to come along but it is catchy if you give it a chance. I think this will appeal to a select audience.
