Well, Ten Foot Pole's Victory stint didn't last very long. In fact, they got one album out of the label. Now they are on Go Kart records, an established punk label that should suit them fine. Their new album, Subliminable Messages picks up where Bad Mother Trucker left off and forges ahead. This is a talented band that quite often gets forgotten about. They have been around for well over a decade now and toured with pretty much every punk band you have ever known. Their dedicated fanbase keeps them goin. This album could be one of the better one's released by Ten Foot Pole. It demands repeated listens even though it's just half an hour. The 12 songs are diverse and melodic with a lot of clever songwriting involved. Tracks like "Last Call For Russell's Balls" show how dynamic their brand of melodic punk can be. Listen to "Still Believe" for an example of their potential as well. They get going pretty good on that track. It seems like lead vocalist, Dennis has come a long way in the time he's put in with the band and his voice has matured even though the music is still youthful. There are a couple of newcomers to the band as well, Eric Cody (guitar) and Mike Levy (bass). It's time to check in with Ten Foot Pole again.
