The guys in For Stars thought that this album would be their major label debut but things have a funny way of Falling Apart. The bigwigs heard the dark studio sessions happening and dropped them like a rock. Enter their fourth album for Future Farmer records and For Stars darkest album to date. This album is so dark that I honestly was disappointed at it upon the first listen but if you are a regular reader of my site you will know that I tend to listen to things a few times before my final judgment is made. Their previous output was more along the pop lines but this one could almost be considered possessed. Listen to the way that "Reminds You" comes into your head and you will see what I mean. It doesn't really even go anywhere but it doesn't matter because it's all about mood on It Falls Apart. Before you slit your wrists they try and pick it up, barely, with the 9 minute title track. On this one, Carlos sounds amazing and fresh. And speaking of Carlos, the last track, "Lend Out Your Love" is one of the loveliest and most beautiful song I have ever heard. It leaves you with a little bit of hope and inspiration at the end of a wet and rainy album. I don't know what's gotten into these guys but if they get any more down on themselves it will be the end for us all. With one listen this album would have had a 2.5 star rating. As you can see, multiple listens are mandatory bringing it up to a high end 4.5.
