Tipsy turned the electronica world on its ear with its debut release Trip Tease and it’s been a long wait for the follow up. The duo is made up of David Gardner and Tim Digulla as well as help from numerous other contributors. Uh-Oh! Ends up being pretty much instrumental with most of the tracks trying to keep a fun bossa nova feel to them albeit a bit goofy for the most part. The songs weave and twist under the pressure that Tipsy and company put them under and in the end it is all just a big party. Take for instance “Wig Out� that almost has too much going on but somehow they manage to keep all the sounds relevant. They even try country out with “Reverse Cowgirl� that ends up being a bad nightmare with a Ennio Morricone soundtrack to it. The album includes “xxxmas� and “Hard Petting� from the latter’s ep that was released late last year. You will definitely get some comments by throwing this on at your next house party. It’s very unobtrusive and yet it is interesting enough to keep you drawn in. You will be amazed at how they incorporate easy-listening lounge music with remixing, sampling and tweaking of electronica.
