Jonathan Anderson is a very talented musician that calls Vancouver home. Things Done and Left Undone is his third album as Jonathan Inc. His band is fleshed out by Michelle Grunert, Jon Brotherton and Glenn D'Cruze. This is the first I have been exposed to the band and upon 2 minutes elapsing of the first track, "Reading Between The Lines of an Empty Page" I knew I would like Jonathan Inc.. The band reminds me a lot of Josh Rouse, another favorite of mine, a soulful blend of rock and folk that sounds so inspired. To top it off, Anderson has a great voice that never wears. He is always right on key and his timing is impeccable. I think this is to the point where a bigger label needs to come knocking. Seriously! While Jonathan Inc. may be a little too polished for the underground, it makes for a great pop album that the masses need to hear. Like why couldn't "Lights Go Down" be played on the radio? But we all know the radio world is as corrupt as George Bush. Listen to Jonathan Inc. before anyone else. This is great light rock music and it doesn't get much better than this one. I totally enjoyed the arrangements and the songwriting.
