Aphrodite (aka Gavin King) has put this album off for far too long. He has been playing music since 1988 and started Aphrodite records in 1993. This is his first full length recording and it lives up to all expectations with his brand of jump up drum 'n' bass that keeps you going all album long. For those of you unfamiliar with Aphrodite's style, his drum 'n' bass is upbeat and happy as opposed to the majority that is dark and brooding. I think anyone that has even thought about getting into this style of music would fall in love with this album and die-hard junge fans will find merit in the diversity displayed on this album. The tracks fuses jazz elements with hip hop, techno and funk all with the DnB style that keeps Aphrodite on top. Although this is an artist that has to be witnessed live, Aphrodite makes a fine attempt at catching that energy on disc.
