Dave Lang is a Regina-based musician that loves bring fun into his rock and roll style. On Live And In Quonset Dave brings together a lot of Carolyn Mark's Roommates to help him out. His music styles range from straight ahead rock and roll ("Fuck All To Do and All Day To Do It") to full-on folk music ("She's Leaving Town"). Hell, he even hits on the punk vein with the rambunctious "Becky Is A Farmer", sounding more like the Hanson Brothers proving that fun is the major factor in his music. The album opens with the Adam Sandler-ish "Creamsicle", goofy and fun in the same breath. On "Drinking Together" Dave tries on his best Bruce Springsteen impression with mixed results. Dave's songs always have a good story to tell. He is a fairly established songwriter that is willing to stretch across many genres in order to tell his stories. I have a feeling Dave Lang would be a musician that I would like to see in a live setting.
