What does a successful IDM (intelligent dance music) artist do when they are finished one of their most impressive albums of their career? Farm it out to other like minded musicians that will do with it what they please. The result? Further Reminders. Two Lone Swordsman had great success with their 2000 release Tiny Reminders and not wanting those songs to go to rest quite yet, they got some fellow musicians to work the tracks over the best they could. Keith Tenniswood and Andrew Weatherall should be very proud to father this music that is the base for this remix project. The artists handle the strange Two Lone Swordsman material with grace and leave it intact for the most part. Some of the artists involved are C-Pij, Villalobos, Cause, Dry & Heavy, Stimulant and the strangest out of the bunch has to be Calexico. The Texans sound like they are made for this type of music. Even if you own Tiny Reminders you will be impressed with the difference that a few new minds can add to an already excellent collection.
