Once again, Rupert Mould and Clandestine Ein (better known to most as Up, Bustle and Out) have created a genre crossing release with their Master Sessions 2. You will be graced with the flute talents of master Cuban musician Richard Egues. You may recognize the name from the Ruben Gonzalez and Buena Vista Social Club releases. As always with UBO releases you could easily place them in a world beat section and no one would know the difference. The reason the mix is so nice is that Mould and Ein create the base through samples from old records and then pass it off to actual studio musicians to add a “live feel to it. Some of the tracks are very upbeat and happy while others end up being dark and brooding like “Jazz Sepulchre. UBO succeeds once again and let’s hope that their Master Sessions aren’t quite over yet.
