Everybody has a political album this year and England's Faithless is no different. The lead-off single to the new Faithless album, No Roots, is a strong political statement that leads the way for the rest of the album. It is called "Mass Destruction" and it contains one of the coolest lines I have heard recently: "You ain't going to nirvana or far-vana". The song itself is awesome and has a really cool groove to it but if you have seen the video, you would have heard the P*Nut and Sister Bliss Remix. It is even groovier. Unfortunately it not all lives up to the single. "I Want More, Part 2" and "Sweep" are fairly generic upbeat electronic tracks that could have come from anytime in the 90s. It's sad to see quality tracks like "Love Lives On My Street" and "Bluegrass" get diluted with mediocre songs. Maxi proves to me an amazing lyricist and the sooner the rest of the band realize that and allows him to stretch out, the sooner Faithless will release their classic album, yet to be released.
