I dont know what to think of Aalacho, the first track left much to be desired, the tune just didnt do anything for me and the singing just got in the way. The second track "lift" is better with a cool mix of electronic music and electric guitar it was a nice meld that really works great on the track. Then comes the third track I just dont know about it because I dont know wether to give them props for having the audacity or wether to bash them for trying to cover the Beatles "Ticket to ride" at one end the song is a resounding failure but on the other it takes some guts to even give it a try. The acoustic guitar in "I'll climb you" was a nice addition to the song and by now the band seems to have found some cohesiveness in their sound. The Next track it's not about love leans more towards a traditional rock song with much less electronic influence than the earlier songs that makes for a nice break before the last tracks. Atomic Playboy is a nice bundle of danceable goodness with a beat reminiscent of New Order probably my favorite track of the album. The Felix da Housecat mix of pompeii improves the song but still does'nt manage to save the song. aalacho is an interesting project with some good ideas going on "Electro" but they let a few bad tracks into the mix and it bogged down what should have been a decent album.
