Lagwagon is one of the best punk bands to ever surface. I have a hard time believing that they are on their 15th year anniversary but it's true. They do the catchy pop/punk like no one else except maybe NOFX. Many bands have used Lagwagon as a template for their punk style but nobody has been as consistent as this Santa Barbara band. They have been chosen by Fat Wreck for the next installation in the Live In A Dive series. While I unfortunately haven't seen them in a live setting, this document show that they are as fun as their albums are. These guys have been on Fat Wreck their entire life, in fact Lagwagon was the first band that Fat Mike signed! I have been a fan ever since their second album for the label, Trashed and have followed them feverishly ever since. Regardless, Live In A Dive is their first live album and it was recorded at the House Of Blues in Hollywood. Ryan Greene takes care of production and as with all the other Live In A Dive series, the production is as good as a studio album, except with the live energy. Lagwagon tears through 22 songs from all over their career. With this live document and the amazing Blaze this band is right smack in it's prime, only 15 years after their inception. But god, they're getting old! I think Joey Cape needs to stick with this band and stay away from the acoustic stuff. There is one track live Read the gruesome comic that comes with the package. It's good and I do believe that's the girl from Let's Talk About Feelings.
