RecommendI have no idea what even possessed me to buy this compilation a year after it initially hit the shelves but I did and I am loving myself for it. I had read one too many good review on this comp and decided to try it out for myself. What Guidance Records provides is a smooth downtempo and almost tropical (tripical) flavor to the Hi Fidelity Lounge series. There are quite a few unknowns (by me anyway) but the Thievery Corporation is included and provide one of the coolest tracks on Cosmopolitan Grooves entitled "Samba Tranquille". Doesn't the name just envoke visions of frosty margaritas underneath a palapa? There is some talking samples on the album but for the most part they are all in French making it even more sexy and tropical. Hi Fidelity Lounge 3 is an amazing and diverse album and I will most definitely be seeking out the rest of the series.
