Luke Temple is a singer/songwriter that comes from New York (originally from Massachusetts). His style is familiar but Luke is able to pull this sound off quite nicely. It's that mixture of pop and folk without too much sappiness. This oh too brief EP, consisting of only 4 tracks, starts out with the Brendan Benson or almost even Pixies-like "B-Bird". It is my favorite track out of the four. "Make Right With You" has a bit of a country feel to it with its galloping pace. "In The End" has a little more traditional pop songwriter feel to it. It's a nice song as well. Then we get a Jeff Buckley sounding track on "Painted Blue". It is the most beautiful out of the four tracks. The four tracks here present a diverse songwriter who has a great knack for songwriting and proof of musicianship. Keep an eye out for his full length album, Hold a Match To A Gasoline World that is due out later this year.
