Amber Pacific is an emo band from Seattle that began as a trio of high school kids just playing for fun. Before long a friend told a friend who told a friend about these guys and Hopeless records caught wind. The band came up with a solid name and Amber Pacific was born. You might have caught them on last years Warped Tour, a tour that got them where they are today and the fans that they now possess. The Possibility and the Promise is their Hopeless debut following an EP. Upon first listen you may take Amber Pacific for the standard run-of-the-mill emo band but upon closer listen you start to hear that these guys are decent and slightly ahead of the pack. There are some tracks that really stand out like "Poetically Pathetic", far superior to a lot of their peers. The Possibility and the Promise is one of the few emo/pop/punk (whatever) albums that might actually deserve your attention. They are tight at what they do and their songs, while extremely accessible, stand out slightly from the pack. I think Amber Pacific have the skills to go far in this crazy rock world. But let's talk about the album title, The Possibility and the Promise? Come on...
