I think the last time someone reviewing a record sincerely told the reader to lock up his daughters before listening was either a) the last time The Stones made a good record, or b) when Iggy made records even more frightening than his leathering, Nazca-Lines facial impersonation. But Modey Lemon are ones to watch out for. They plug in, hock a loogie, and sound the primeval rock call to all drunk and loose women in town.
"Electronic Sorcerer", "Tongues (everybody's got one)"; "Ants In My Hands"; "Slow Death." You get the idea. No subtlety, no remorse, relief. This is the first of their records to sound like a band integrating influences, rather than parroting them. With even more confidence, this could get ugly.
