Bob Mould holds the distinction of being an influence on some of the best music of the last 20 years, and, unfortunately for those who love post-Huskers Bob, some of the most precious. While the NRSK seem to have been more influenced by Mould's stormy but sweet Sugar records, rather than the truly shaky solo efforts, still, to bastardize what they say in Maine, there ain't no here here. This is early 90's indie-pop, with a slight brit-fetish. All the songs run together like a reminder that when pop is done wrong it sounds like something used to lull us into surrender.
