Keiji Haino provides us with a short set of moody, slightly off-key guitar pieces with trademark anguished screaming from the master of his own, and sometimes my, universe. This is a fairly tame introduction to the singular work of a man who has straddled the lines of Noise, Psychedelia, Modern Composition and pure madness for over 30 years. Here, and moreso on the acoustic version of Black Blues, Haino strips the wash of sound from his guitar and lets you here the colors, the missed notes, the process of improv and building the solo. This may not be for everyone, but no one can listen to it and not be stopped at least for a moment, especially on the truly evil cover of "See That My Grave is Kept Clean."
