RecommendUbiquity’s treatment on these classics from the crate is kind of hit and miss. Some of the songs that are reworked end up brilliantly smooth and suave. Others are a little lackluster like Shinehead’s take on “Billy Jean� (yup, that would be MJ’s). Just to give you a taste of other tracks that have the treatment, Pink Floyd’s “Breathe�, The Doors “Riders On The Storm�, one of the album’s better tracks Gotan Projects remix of Chet Baker doing “Round About Midnight�, and Better Daze take on the Stranglers “Golden Brown� making it sound like it should be on a Dave Matthews Band album. As I mentioned earlier, this project is a bit of a hit and miss but there are some that will really enjoy the whole premise behind Rewind.
