RecommendSlight EP by a band still finding its way. Of the four songs, "And she Moves Through Me" reaches a gorgeous rhythm that hints at inspiration. They might be wise to go in the direction of the moody and sublime. Rockers like "This is Why The Stars Shine" and "At This Speed" are not only generic alt-rock yawners, but the weakness of vocalist/guitarist Mike McNeill exposes itself. He just can't sing strong and fast; on these, he sounds more like a scared Will Oldham than a confident Mike McNeill. Though they have hope, given the depth of that one tune, they need to do some major thinking next time around.
