Indie anthems are produced as efficiently and easily as an operative fills baked beans tins at the Heinz factory it seems by this Alex Miller led Brighton quartet. The first number selected from their impressive armoury to be unleashed onto the public is; 'All Over This Town' that possesses The Ordinary Boys post mod type vocals and tingling anthem building instrumentals. This number tells the tale rising violence in a usually peaceful neighbourhood;
"I am hearing violence in my head, in my bed;
cos its all over this town and that does get around."
Does anyone remember the programme they used to have on BBC Grandstand, whereby they would chose a minnow (small non-leage football team) and follow them as far as they go in the FA Cup? It was a feeling of great pride and judgement when one of the teams they followed reached the third round proper. Well it could produce the same feeling following this melodic Brighton outfit from the start, who knows where it will all end up?
